Best Beachbody Workouts for Weight Loss

What are the best Beachbody workouts for weight loss? The first program that comes to mind is Slim in 6 with Debbie Siebers. Debbie combines cardio and light resistence moves in a six week program designed to slim and tone with a focus on hips, thighs, abs and butt. This program uses basic moves that most people have done at some time in the past, making it a good weight loss or start up fitness program.

Another good starter program for weight loss is Chalene Johnson’s Turbo Jam. The workouts are about the same length as Slim in 6 but Chalene uses seven signature moves to get your heart rate going to some hip hop music. If you like to dance, you would probably like Turbo Jam. Don’t worry. You’ll be in your living room with no one watching.

And, if you like dance moves, you might want to consider one of Shaun T’s ealier fitness programs such as Hip Hop Abs or Rockin’ Body. Shaun T also uses hip hop music and dance to create a party atmosphere to get you moving, sweating, and burning calories.

If dancing isn’t for you and you want to do more basic gym moves and resistence training, Tony Horton’s Power 90 might be the perfect starter program for your weight loss goals. Tony offers a 90 day boot camp incorporating circuit training workouts in 35-45 minutes per day. Many people start on Power 90 to drop the pounds and improve fitness before taking on the challenge of Tony’s famous P90X fitness program.

Beachbody also has a program called RevAbs with trainer Brett Hoebel that targets your abdominal muscles with cardio circuits and resistence training. It’s a 90 day program designed to flatten and tone your abs. If your trouble area is more in the booty, Brazil Butt Lift with trainer Leandro Carvalho combines cardio with moves that target your butt.

Weight loss can be achieved with any of Beachbody’s in home fitness dvd programs, but the ones listed here are recommended for those starting out in fitness or who need to begin working out at a lower intensity. There are tremendous success stories of significant weight loss from programs such as P90X, TurboFire, and Insanity. You can modify exercises in any of these programs, but they are designed primarily for people who are athletic minded or who have been through some type of military or boot camp type of training in the past.
