Skinny, Scrawny, Hardgainer P90X Training to Gain Weight and Build Muscle Mass

Daily Fit Tips

If anyone has ever called you skinny, scrawny, or little, it’s time to take control and show those taunters that a hardgainer can gain weight and build muscle mass with the P 90 X system of training, supplementation, and eating. I’m talking to the guys and the gals. Although everyone seems to think that all women want to be thin and tiny, that’s not always the case. There are also hardgainer women who struggle to keep weight on. They may not want a lot of muscle mass but they want a program to help them gain weight. P90X is the program for both genders of skinny, scrawny, hardgainers.

A lot of “skinny” people try their own hardgainer diet and eat whatever they see because they just can’t keep weight on. This type of diet can be unhealthy fat and cholesterol stores can still build up inside the “skinny” person and the diet may not contain the right about of nutrients to nourish the body and keep it healthy.

Scrawny dudes also take to searching for hardgainer training that promises to bulk you up like a mad man. They search muscle building magazines and the internet for hardgainer workouts, a hardgainer workout routine – that majic hardgainer workout plan that will take them from scrawny to brawny overnight.

Here’s the truth.

You have the same struggles as someone who needs to lose weight.

You have to learn about your body. You have to learn about the amount of energy (calories) your body burns each day at rest (basic metabilism). You have to learn how to gauge how many calories you consume and how many you need to consume. You have to learn how to add the right forms of exercise to meet your fitness goals. You have to learn how to nourish your body and how to supplement it appropriately to reach your goals. The only thing different from someone who wants to lose weight are your fitness goals.

P 90 X accounts for the needs of the hardgainer as well as the person who wants to lose weight. It’s quite amazing to see some of the before and after pictures of scawny guys transforming into to brawny ripped definition. P90X sets a path of transformation through a very challenging strenth, cardio, and flexibility program combined with an easy to follow nutrition plan and supplementation.

P 90 X actually has three programs because Tony Horton realized that people come into the program with different fitness goals. Hardgainers will want to do the Classic version of P90X. People wanted to lose weight, might want to choose the Lean version of P 90 X. Finally, extreme athletes who want to take their fitness up a notch can challenge themselves with Doubles.

In addition to following the daily workouts, a hardgainer needs to pay attention to the nutrition guidelines. Because you will need to take in more calories than you burn to gain weight (and you’ll be burning even more doing P 90 X), you will probably need to supplement your normal diet. Shakeology is a good option for adding in an extra snack. The nutritional value is amazing, especially since it tastes good. Adding fruit, peanut butter, or other things to the drink adds even more calories and nutrition.

Another good snack to help increase the calorie count while taking in proper nutrition to support your fitness program are the P 90 X Protein Bars. They come in four different flavors. They’re easy to put in your bag or pocket to eat later in the day when it might not be convenient to stop to eat.

The other supplement you will hear Tony Horton talk about is the P 90 X Recovery Drink. You don’t want to use this one as a snack. This is a drink that was designed to refuel your muscles after a hard workout. It helps prevent delayed muscle soreness the next day. And, it will add about two hundred calories to your count for the day. (Make it with ice and blend well. It tasts like an orange push up ice cream treat.)

Transforming from a skinny, scrwany hardgainer little dude into a lean, ripped, healthy guy is possible with P 90 X. This complete system even includes online support and message boards, so you can talk to other hardgainers who are having success building muscle mass and weight with P 90 X.
